¿Spain hearts ... middle America?

When in Madrid, I spent hours upon hours touring the city on foot. I like to see all the big sights, but I make it my mission to walk through the smaller and lesser known streets. I like to imagine what life is like as a local and I scout for neighborhood favorites, such as a bakery or cafe (food is generally cheaper in these less touristy areas).

As I was walking around, I noticed that some of the store fronts had random US state names.

Nevada, I can understand because of Vegas. The rest ... a bit puzzling. Oh, I also saw Texas but didn't have a camera with me.

Strange, but I like it :D
